   About Goldenburn

HELLO, GOLDEN FRIENDS !!

Before we get onto the subject of "The Monkey and the Sponge"......Goldenburn invite you to get closer to feeling, The Burn.....

Goldenburn is a four piece band based in North Cornwall, England. They started their journey in 2002, as a three piece and went onto establish themselves in their local venues, with their "Feel Good" flavour.
They recorded their debut album; "Comin' on Through" in 2003, at Shabby Road Studios. Then spent 2004/05 playing festivals/venues, where they recorded a live album at the Maker Festival, and supported the likes of Baka Beyond and The Blockheads.

After taking a year out in 2006, to write new material. They played again in 2007 at select festivals, venues and private parties. With a completely new set, new friends and the same Goldenburn, "Feel Good" flavour, Which is influenced by such broad and eclectic musical tastes, from Hip Hop, Pop, Rock, Soul, Reggae, Latin, Trip Hop, Jazz, Folk, Funk, Grunge, Techno, Indigenous/World Music, D'n'B, Punk, Barber shop music, to name a few.

They're not afraid to try their hands at their own unique twist on all of it! Their latest sonic incarnation reflects this diverse passion of music, which makes their sound hard to pidgeon hole. We can go so far as to say that there is something here for everyone, no partiality, just fun music played with heart!

They are currently recording their third album, shooting a video, building a web site and arranging more gigs, in preparation to....Return The Burn, to your ears and thoughts.

If you are an old friend to their sound or as fresh to it as virgin snow, the new material is a must hear experience! For those of you out there searching for something different, yet accessable, you've found it!

Thanks for visiting, stay tuned for.....Gig Listings, Album Release Dates, Band Info, and much more besides!
